Why do you do group fitness?
I like the structure of group classes. It saves me having to think up training programs for the gym. It is also a great way of getting to know new people. I have made a lot of good friends since joining.
What keeps you coming back for more?
Because I can see the results! Prior to joining CFC, I used to train 10 hours a week. I was constantly picking up injuries from over-training the same muscles. Since joining, CFC, most of my injuries have healed and I’ve strengthened by back. I only train 4-5 hours a week now.
The variety in exercises here is unbelievable. There is no fear of anyone getting bored by the same routine because everyday is different. The classes are small, very intense and great fun.
Oh it’s very hard choose, there is very little I don’t like! Heavy back squats, heavy deadlifts, anything on the TRX and chest to floor burpees.
Least favourite exercise:
That hand-eye co-ordination stuff with the sliotar and stick, because I have no hand-eye co-ordination!!
Favourite cheat meal:
I don’t see anything as a cheat! I love food and I love exercise. I eat chocolate everyday, I drink wine at weekends. I don’t count calories but I’ve a healthy enough diet other than that. It’s all about balance. We only get once chance to enjoy life!
