A very valuable lesson I have learned while running our gym for the last 3 years is this
If you are Overweight, then don't look to change too much too soon.
Music to your ears right!!
At the beginning as a PT I was often over eager.... This led to throwing too much information at clients, stuff they didn't need to know.. but I learned
Its not all about the fancy gym, fancy program or fancu equipment..
It's about being able to talk and connect with people!!
For people who are Over Weight, you didn't just wake up one day and suddenly have this undesired physical shape.
It accumulated over a period of time, maybe YEARS...
It probably has by now even formed part of your Character, and this is the crucial bit to undertsand!!
Because CHANGING is SCARY
Your body doesn't want change and your willpower is on the floor
So changing your whole world straight away leads to nothing but a monumental fall sometime soon
The trick is DON'T CHANGE (Too Much)
Take small steps and small adjustments for the better and over time increase them so they become part of your behaviours
Modify things in your life to the point that it doesn't crash your willpower but is more sustainable.
You would so surprised at what 4-5 tiny adjustments could make to your life..
To help you keep on track I've created The Habit Transformation Program.
In our gym we use a 'Buddy System' where our clients team up in small groups to help keep themselves accountable and create a mini support group fro themselves.
And now it's available for anyone that wants to make small adjustments and make a move towards a healthier, happier person
